Twenty four

Asos botanical kimono via Disco me to Oblivion

Hey everyone! This is the part where I should be busting out the sweet treats because yesterday was my birthday! As the title of this blog post suggests, I turned 24, and like a true libra, I don’t know how to feel about that. It’s weird because you clearly don’t fit in with the kids anymore (just try going shopping at the H&M Divided section – what is all that about?), but to call myself an adult…? I did however, find what I think is a first wrinkle. The lady I got talking with when I was buying a new load of perfume ensured me it’s just dry skin so I’m religiously moisturising twice a day.

I would like to emphasize how much I love this duster. I’d been in the market for a good longer length duster for a while and I had my eye on a lace embellished one from River Island but frankly I didn’t know if I would be getting enough wear out of it. This one is a little more wearable and I just love the tropical floral print.

In other news, I hit Zalando Lounge again, this time to get some new denim! I had heard so many good things about 7 for all Mankind so I figured I had to give the brand a shot – and I’m glad I did because out of the 4 pairs that I ordered, I kept 3. I’m probably going to have the waist taken in (I have a small waist compared to my legs) but the washes are so good and very flattering (don’t you just hate it when the washing on your jeans makes your legs look bigger?), I had to go for it. Also one of the pairs feels like sweat pants, wow!

Bonus picture: My boyfriend couldn’t be there for my birthday (so I spent some much needed time with my mom!), but on Friday we had lovely sushi and today we spent the day shopping for gifts! I’ve been wanting to plug my all time favourite jewelry shop here for a while so guys, if you’re in the market for semi-precious stones and you’re in Antwerp, visit Nepal Handicrafts at Hoogstraat 28! The lady sells amazing silver jewelry for very democratic prices. The bracelet in the picture was also a gift from my boyfriend, from that same place. Go wild!!

Another tip for those visiting Antwerp: There’s a wonderful pop up bar in the Pelgrimstraat called Jones, they serve the ONLY gin cocktails you will ever need to try. Wow. Just wow. I didn’t even like gin before I tried this!

I’m going to enjoy the rest of my evening to end this delightful birthday weekend. I think it’s safe to say I’m a very, very lucky girl.

Until next time!
