Stripes Times Two

Hey guys! As I’m typing this I’m lounging on the couch in a t-shirt and jeans with the window open. I admit, I’m getting a little chilly but as I was climbing up and down a stool to take these shots, the Spring sun was enough to keep the place warm!

So as you can probably tell, in my mind I’ve already left Winter way behind me. The days are getting longer and I just can’t wait to frolic around in breezy Spring/Summer outfits! I’ve dipped into my wardrobe and considering this striped top from COS is a current favourite, I did two little flat lays with it.

This bag was a birthday gift I picked out with my boyfriend at a little shop on the Hoogstraat in Antwerp. It doesn’t have a brand tag or anything but the shop lady told us it was imported from India.

I’m dying to frolic around in these two get ups! I haven’t actually tried these outfits on just yet, mainly because I still have a few kilograms to lose before I would feel comfortable in these boyfriend jeans (over a year old and still have the tags attached to them… oops) let alone the shorts! I’m currently working out twice a week, doing about an hour and a half of cardio and a whole lot of toning exercises. I lost about two kilograms and have shed a bit of blubber around my waist and tummy so that’s some good progress so far.

I’m not hoping to go back to the body I had when I was blogging from my old bedroom at my parents’, I mean I fully realise getting older brings along a ton of change, but I do want that confidence back. I’ve always been very critical about myself and my deep dislike for change isn’t making getting used to a body I don’t feel is mine easier, so working out and eating healthier are my only real remedies.

I just fucking love food you guys.

Pretty Sharp, a no-fuss beauty blog
Look, I get it. No one really reads beauty blogs anymore. But just like Gretchen just won't stop trying to make fetch happen, I won't ever give up on the written medium. Because there is just so much more to good makeup, skincare and fragrance than how they look as a prop in a photograph.

At Pretty Sharp you'll find honest beauty reviews, news bits along with occasional fashion/style/personal related articles. No clickbait. No bullshit
