Lancôme Juicy Shaker: Swatches and Review

Lancome Juicy Shaker in Vanilla Pop, review and swatches via Disco me to Oblivion, baby!

Lancôme Juicy Shaker in 252 Vanilla Pop

So as I’ve mentioned before, I have the lips of an ice mummy. Always dry, often chapped, sometimes bleeding. I used to be a devout chapstick user, never going to sleep without my thick smudgy layer of creamy goodness, until I moved out of the parental nest and my mom wasn’t there to buy me more chapsticks and somehow it’s one of those things my brain never holds on to when I’m out grocery shopping so I make do with what I have lingering around the bedroom: Hand cream, nail oil and once even some lubricating eye drops.

Instead of walking into a grocery store to get chapstick, I ended up at Ici Paris XL to test Lancôme’s newest lip product: The Juicy Shaker! The step from nail oil to lip oil was a logical one, and even though I was skeptical about the frivolous shape this product comes in – I was sold after the first try. The shaking of the cocktail mixer-shaped container and the noise it makes (kind of like the ball in a spray can) sparks joy in me (and being the dark soul that I am, that says a lot), the spongey applicator is nice and easy to use and the formula is so. Good.

The glossy finish isn’t made to last forever, especially if like me, you like to press your lips together to enjoy the oily texture of the formula, but after an hour to two hours without reapplying you’re left with a very natural looking, faint stain of colour. No texture, no coverage, just colour. It wears off evenly so this is a very low maintenance product. Extra points!

Conclusion: This has become a staple in my to-go make-up pouch and I would totally recommend it, whether your lips are in bad shape or you’re just in the mood for something softer than a full on lipstick. When I’m halfway through Vanilla Pop, I might also try Berry In Love or Wonder Melon. A little out of my comfort zone (because; not red haha), but due to the sheerness, totally doable. All in all, I highly recommend!

    1. Thanks guuurl!

    1. Aww thank you I really appreciate that! I enjoyed reading your review on the H&M highlighter!
